The moment people turn to Christ in faith, they receive a new identity as “holy ones”. Identity-based discipleship is rooted in Christ’s finished work on the Cross and His Resurrection.
2. Practical Guidance for Freedom and Ongoing Transformation
We train leaders and churches to help Christians with practical, Bible-based methods to experience freedom and fruitfulness in Jesus Christ. Practical tools like The Steps To Freedom In Christ and Stronghold-Busting assist Christians so they may hear the conviction of the Holy Spirit, turn away from sin, overcome negative thoughts, break free from spiritual and emotional strongholds, and live freely in Christ.
3. A Balanced Worldview That Considers Spiritual Realities
We equip leaders and churches to help Christians see the world as God reveals it in the Bible, recognizing the spiritual battle with the world, the flesh, and the devil. God has given Christians authority over all the work of the enemy as they submit to Christ. We teach Christians practically how to walk in Christ’s authority and resist the devil. We help leaders and churches address spiritual warfare issues with biblical balance and sensibility.
4. Personal Responsibility in the Christian Walk
We work with leaders and churches to help Christians take personal responsibility for their spiritual growth, by practising repentance, forgiveness, submission to God, and resisting the devil. While God provides the grace, power and authority, Christians must grasp their freedom in Christ and take active steps of faith in their journey toward maturity in Jesus.
5. Holistic Ministry
We provide biblically-grounded teaching and tools for leaders and churches so that they may enable Christians to experience healing and freedom in all areas of life. Our discipleship approach works for every church and every Christian, from mature leaders to recent converts, from those without any obvious issue to the most broken, as Jesus came not to help us cope with our issues but to help us resolve them so we can flourish in Him.

Our discipleship approach is simple, transferable, and scalable, making it accessible to all leaders, churches, and Christians, regardless of background or level of training. It is straightforward to implement and easily tailored to any church’s ministry. Everyone leading in FIC has personally experienced the ministry and is encouraged to live it out themselves within their own culture and context.
7. Serving the Whole Church
With a commitment to serving the whole Church, we work across cultural and denominational lines to equip leaders and churches on every continent to help Christians live in freedom and fruitfulness. We seek to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3) by fostering appropriate collaboration among leaders and churches across denominations, cultures, and traditions.
