This looks and feels a bit more professional perhaps and would suit an accredited T programme when it comes around next time... it's maybe more in keeping with the "look and feel" we're trying to create?
However I do wonder about how to get people to visit and post without being reminded as FB does? We could perhaps still operate the FB group discussion for the group where they could post things outside of the realm of the assignment questions? And then we would still have that opportunity to give them a "reminder" through FB that the assgnment has been posted, or there is a message for them etc? A bit of duplication perhaps, but this may only be needed through the first phase of each co-hort, until they get into a weekly rhythm of replying.
I suggest that in this next stage of the piolt run out of T that we "try" this platform out for the disussions around FTL studies... test it to see how user friendly it is and how people get on with it? Then come back and review at Easter?
It might be good to pilot this for a few sessions at least and see what the uptake is? CJ
