As we celebrate over 35 years of ministry, our impact has grown far beyond what we could have imagined and millions of lives have been affected - and you'll see a moving video testimony below from our Africa Director, Ibrahim Dikko, about how he forgave those who buried his father alive because of his Christian faith. Today, we operate in over 40 countries, bringing Freedom in Christ to Christians in more than 30 languages. And we have many more opportunities.
WE NEED TO RAISE $25,000 - HERE IS WHY...
The growth of the ministry is made possible by a team of incredible people, most of whom raise their own support. While virtual meetings via Zoom are fantastic for day-to-day operations, nothing compares to the power of meeting face-to-face. The connections formed over a shared meal or a simple cup of tea often lead to collaborations that transform entire communities and last for a lifetime. So every year, we host a critical in-person gathering of our global leadership team—a time of deep prayer, fellowship, collaboration, and planning for the future. These meetings have proven invaluable in forging lifelong friendships and fruitful ministry strategies. It's an expensive exercise but without it we simply would not function effectively as as global ministry.
We select venues that have good travel links and where keep expenses are as modest as possible. This year, we’ve chosen a former monastery in Krakow, Poland—a simple, humble setting that reflects the heart of our ministry. Yet, even with these measures, for many of our leaders, particularly those in developing countries, the financial burden of attending is overwhelming. The cost for some can reach as high as $3,000 per person—an insurmountable expense for ministries already operating on tight budgets. To cover outstanding costs for this year's meeting, we need to raise approximately $25,000.

The cost to bring Ibrahim to the meeting is over $3,000 - he has to take two internal flights in Nigeria just to apply for a visa and flights in Africa are generally more expensive than elsewhere in the world. Then the visa application itself runs to hundreds of dollars. And that's before considering his travel to Poland and his accommodation. But it's an investment well worth making to help shape our strategy for taking this message throughout the African continent. There are currently no fewer than seven new African countries working through the process to establish Freedom In Christ offices.
